THURSDAY ACTIVITIES

Thursday was our practice justice day.  We went to the Dome at 10:15 to gather before our bus left around 11:45.  We went across Lake Pontchartrain to Mandeville.  We helped build a boardwalk at a wetlands reclamation area at a wastewater treatment plant.  One of the largest projects of it's kind.  After water is treated it is pumped into the wetlands nearby to fight back the intrusion of salt water.  Youth pounded nails, cut boards and moved lumber.  Some of us also went over to a nearby High School and volunteered to do some grounds work.  We are all very surprised by the thunderstorms, and how quickly they appear, and LOUD!  Tonight we are excited to go back to the Dome and listen to music and hear some more great speakers.
